Interested in joining us? Please review the program information and submit your application below. We accept applications on a rolling basis, noting that the program begins fall quarter of each year. Funding decisions, however, are made based on those who have applied by the deadline, which for the upcoming 2021/22 cohort year is January 22, 2021.
Application materials include a 1-2 page statement of interest from prospective students and a letter of support from a potential advisor (if you are a new student) or current advisor (if are already enrolled).
The statement of interest should discuss:
your overall scientific interests and accomplishments to date,
planned research activities as part of your degree,
why you are interested in the Future Rivers program and what you hope to get out of it,
and what unique perspectives you bring.
The faculty letter should include a statement of support for your participation in the Future Rivers program concurrently with your degree program and provide indication that the faculty advisor is willing to engage in Future Rivers and to what extent. This letter is required for review of your application.
